Tower of David Museum with the Fam! 6-17-12

So like I said in my other post, I am now having a lot more time and I would be doing a lot more cool things and today, we did a very fun, cool thing as a family, we went to the Tower of David museum! Yes, the Tower of David is very different from the CITY of David. The tower of David is a big complex that is part of the Old City near Jaffa gate and the main tower used to be used as a mineret when it was taken over by the Muslims. And that is the main point of the museum, it takes you through all the different times of different people who owned Jerusalem. Has lots of fun with the fam, too bad Jerusalem is getting a little hotter!!

Palestinian Baptism

So from the title of this post you might be thinking that I went to an Islamic baptism, is that even possible? I actually went to a baptism at the Jordan River for a Palestinian boy. His father is Palestinian and joined the church after he married his wife. So this baptism was very special because there are barely any Palestinians who have been baptized in Palestine! It was very cool, one of the only people to be baptized in Palestine being Palestinian! And I got to be there for it! It was a really great experience!

So some of you might be wondering how many youth are in our Branch or stake/ district. Well at youth conference we had all the youth from all the district (all the branches in Israel) and we had like 25 youth, so a pretty good amount. In our branch we have 11 or 12 or so, so not a bad amount. But we only have 4 in our young mens group. One deacon, one teacher and two priests.But changes have happened, one of the 4 have left, I have turned 14 and am now a teacher, so now we have one priest (Josh) and 2 teachers.  And also we have two leaders (the older ones in the pictures) and one of them is leaving, but the good thing is... that we have only less than a month left!

Yes!!! Finally!!

Finally! I am done with exams! خلس!! Finished!no more real school! No more homework! This is the analogy that I have used for this situation: haha, I have been constipated with school work and tests for the whole year and now it is all out! No more left! Well....after that good note! ......

What happens now?

-Party! I am now going to party all day and night, especially with the students!

- More time for blogging! First, now that school is almost over I will have more exciting things happening which means,more to talk about! And also I will have more time for blogging, so all the exciting things will propably be on the blog, the only problem is that as time wounds down, I might not have enough time to blog because I need to soak it up!

-Prepare to go home! :(... but :).sad..but happy! I will now, like I said before, be doing lots of exciting things especially because I go back in less than two months! Also there will be a lot of last minute shopping and fun. I am excited to get back, but I love this amazing place!

-Lots of reading! I will now have more time to read: my scriptures, talks and just fun books! I will be finishing up my new testament reading, that I have been doing over the past 8 months! So great! And just a lot of studying of the Lord's word!

-Spending a lot of time with the family! We have had this experience as a family and I think we end as a family and try to spend as much time together as possible and we will be having a lot of fun!

- I just think these last few weeks will just be absoutly fun, fun, fun!

14 years old!

Oh my goodness! I am 14! Stake dances!......uh-oh... Haha I had a very amazing birthday! I first went to school. Normal day, except it's Joe's birthday was an excuse in all our classes to do nothing! Then I came home and was kind of swarmed by students hugging me and telling me happy birthday. Never have I ever been soooo annoyed by one phrase so much, haha jk.

Then we had dinner at my favorite Shawarma place, I think it is cool to have your birthday and to eat shawarma, in Jerusalem! SO cool!

Then I came home and went straight to an iPod dance party that was designed by me and the amazing Devery. It was a blast so much fun! One of the best things ever! An iPod dance party is where you listen to a certain song (or songs) on earphones and you dance to it. So people not listening to the song is watching someone randomly dancing, but to the person dancing there are listening to music and dancing. It is so much fun and so fun to watch!

Then we had cake and I heard the happy birthday song for the millionth time and the cake was amazing..thanks Mom! :)

Then I got to do the thing that I love most and that is: Play Basketball! I played really well, maybe because of birthday luck, but me and Josh think it is the Arab haircut! :)

Then as I was getting into my bed I noticed something under my pillow and it was... ....... ....all the notes that the students right up in the Oasis! I was already pondering on what an amazing birthday I had just had and it made it 2x better! So great, I love the students!

But really one of the main things that really made my birthday so special and great was the letter from my missionary brother! It was a song card so when I opened it I heard: "Celebrate good times! Come on!" Haha so great, that made me really happy. But what he wrote made me extremely happy and it was just so great to know that he still loves me and that he thinks about me. I love my brother!

I am an Arab! Finally!

Haha. So I went with my Palestinian friend to the barber shop where he usually gets all his haircuts and I got one like him Right after he got his. It turned out really well and my parents didn't really like it...I think. But its just because of the Fohawk. But it is really short and I am just lovin it! Here are some pics of it! :

Lack of posting :( Lots of fun!

Ok. I am really sorry for the lack of posting! I have been really busy with a lot of things, especially with studying for exams and it has been really stressful and it is taking up all my time! I have been doing a lot of things. I have been on a couple of fieldtrips with the students and i am reading a lot of talks and playing a lot of basketball and just doing lots of things! But I am really am alive and well and am loving life and everything that is going on, I will try to post more often. But exams end next Wednesday so I will have lots of time after that! I miss Provo!

One really cool thing we have done is we went to a Jon Smidt concert in the Augusta Victoria hospital. He was going to do it in the center, which would have been better, but it didnt work out with the JC staff, but the concert was really great! He is a really great and fun guy!
